🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹The ION8 Vacuum flask is available in various colours. I was torn between the green (my favourite colour), and the navy blue (more neutral). In the end I actually went for the deep teal shade, which is the best of both worlds.The flask has a large capacity 300 ml cup, and the container itself holds 700 mls meaning two people can have a brew each. It has a textured surface making it easy to grip. The cup attaches magnetically to the flask, and the liquid is secured in the flask with a **** top.🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹Firstly, after my dilemma over the colour, when the flask arrived I was delighted with my choice. The teal is lovely, and the silver band really sets it off.The textured surface is a great idea, and makes it easy to grip if your hands are cold/wet or if you are wearing gloves. There is a rubber pad on the base which ensures it doesn’t bang when you put it down.The cup is much larger then the one on my previous flask, which is perfect as I do love a good decent sized cuppa !I mainly chose this flask as I have recently taken on an allotment, so it’s great to look forward to a nice hot brew after toiling away in the cold. I can either go on my own and enjoy two brews, or if my partner comes along he can have a brew with me. As well as tea, it will also hold coffee or even soup (though I have not yet tried it with soup). Being made from stainless steel it’s also durable. Just make sure you don’t pick it up with the cup – it is magnetic and holds secure, but not secure enough to pick the flask up when full.I can think of many opportunities for using this flask, not just on my allotment, but also on trips out. I just need to make sure "him indoors" doesn’t take a liking to it when he resumes his fishing – he'll have to buy his own !

The flask feels really sturdy, the cup is held on I think magnetically, and unlike many is actually really nice to drink from. The flask itself keeps the contents hot for ages. ION8 vacuum insulated thermoshield flask.This was on sale for £27.32 when I got it. It’s a good looking flask, feels nice to the touch, it’s textured, so it’s not going to slip out of your hand when you’re holding it.The cup is held onto the flask magnetically, I’d tried to unscrew it for a couple of turns and it didn’t come off, but it is held on tight. The lid of the flask itself screws in securely and prevents leaking. The flask keeps drinks hot for hours. You get two full cups out of a flask, which is great.Because it’s stainless steel, it shouldn’t damage if you drop it, unlike the glass ones.

Summary
Love this flask. It has a metallic cup that locks to the body magnetically.

Construction
It feels almost indestructible. The stainless steel construction of the body, cup and **** top feel chunky and secure.

Looks
The body and cup are both powder coated (I have the blue one). The cup and body feel they have been made with precision.

Value for money
Good value for me at £27.

We take a flask with us on days out in the car and this ION8 ThermoShield Flask (at 700ml capacity, the included mug holds 300ml) is perfect for two (assuming you're having a cup each).Went for the Teal colour, which is a nice cheerful hue. The stainless steel flask is nicely made, BPA Free, Food Safe. The base has a rubberised bottom, which is useful when using it on the move (eg, if you were on a train and had it on a table).The cup is lightly magnetised which helps prevent it slipping off (don't pick it up by the mug, though, or you'll drop it). The **** top inside is nice and secure and easy to open and close tight.The mug is also insulated, which is a nice extra.The outer wall is 'mottled' which makes it more grippy.We set off at 9am, had tea around 2pm and the ION8 was still nicely hot (with steaming mugs). When back at 9pm (emptying out the tea residue, it was still warm and drinkable, but not as hot. On par with other double walled thermos flasks we've had.No issues with leakage - and the flask was on quite a windy, bumpy journey through the Highlands.Great to see ION8 are based in Dundee!

Solid, well-made flask with a lovely texture that keeps my coffee warm.. what more could you ask for?! The flask is quite large (annoyingly doesn't fit in small cup holders) and can hold a good amount of liquid, which is great for long days. The lid/cup comes off pretty easily but then snaps back on via magnets which is handy for ensuring it says on. The **** top lid is also a decent size and fits/screws on very well so you won't get spillage.

This is a 700ml flask with a 300ml cup on top. Obviously this means you get two and a bit cups from the whole flask. This irks me slightly, why couldn't it have just been a 350ml cup? Oh well. It does seem to keep the liquid inside hot very well for a long time. I haven't tested it with a thermometer because I don't care that much. I can't stand really hot drinks and have to leave them to cool for a bit anyway. Not to say this flask is letting them cool down too fast.

Under the cup there is a **** lid. This is the part that magnetically holds the cup onto the top of the bottle. If you try to put the bottle and cup together without the lid they won't stay together. It's also a bit iffy whether or not the magnet is strong enough to hold everything together when the flask is full and you pick it up by the cup. If you're gentle you can get away with it. If you aren't you're probably going to leave the rest of the flask behind.

The finish is nice and slightly textured. I assume this will eventually get chipped off if I keep it in my work bag as I do with my existing flask (which started off red but is now very battered). It's very stylish and minimalist looking.
